It can be very overwhelming to pick a Squarespace template when starting your Website. To be honest they all look stunning and very up to date which has to do with the stunning images and videos that are being used. This goes to show, that the images do have a huge impact on the look and feel of a website. Before you start creating a website you have to ask yourself a few questions:
Why are you creating a website?
What is your main goal of this website?
Who do you want to attract or in other words who is your user?
When choosing a template you have to be able to see past all of the fancy looking images and focus on the structure and functionalities of the template. To make it easier for you Squarespace has lots of different templates which all belong to a family. So start with choosing a family and then the actual template you wanna go with. The good thing is that you can pretty much adjust any template with the custom code once you started editing your website.
